Dr Bhaskara P Shelley is the Professor and Chair of Neurology at the University Department of Neurology at Yenepoya University, Karnataka, India. He was born in Brunei where he completed his basic education. Dr. Yasir Hasan Siddique is a distinguished researcher in the fields of toxicology, neurobiology, and environmental health, with a primary focus on neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease (PD) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). His research utilizes transgenic Drosophila melanogaster models expressing human ?-synuclein and A?-42 proteins to investigate disease mechanisms and evaluate novel therapeutic interventions. His scientific contributions encompass a broad range of studies on the toxicity of synthetic progestins, anticancer drugs, nanoparticles, antibacterials, calcium carbide, sodium hypochlorite, and other environmental contaminants. He has extensively explored the mechanisms underlying oxidative stress-mediated toxicity and demonstrated the protective effects of natural antioxidants and plant-derived compounds using both in vitro and in vivo experimental models. His work has been published in leading international journals, including Toxicology Letters, Toxicology in Vitro, Chemico-Biological Interactions, Drug and Chemical Toxicology, Human and Experimental Toxicology, Life Sciences, Food and Chemical Toxicology, Mutation Research, Chemosphere, PLOS ONE, and Biomed Research International. In addition to neurodegenerative disease research, Prof. Siddique has made important contributions to genetic toxicology and public health. Most of my clinical and leadership experience has been in geriatric rehabilitation and skilled nursing, with a strong interest in neurological physical therapy, fall prevention, dementia care, functional mobility, and improving outcomes for older adults. I also enjoy mentoring students and clinicians and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve quality of care. My current professional interests include geriatric and neurological rehabilitation, research, quality improvement, and developing practical approaches to improve mobility, safety, and independence in post-acute and long-term care settings.

Dr. Arjun Dutt’s research interests focus on neurological physical therapy, geriatric rehabilitation, healthcare technology and AI applications in geriatric care, quality improvement and evidence-based practice, and mobility and functional outcomes.
