Beyond the Brightness: A Critical Appraisal of Modern Whitening Dentifrices and Enamel Homeostasis in Adult Dentitions

Over-the-counter whitening dentifrices effectively target extrinsic stains, but chronic use risks mature enamel degradation. Clinicians must educate patients on ingredient profiles, abrasivity metrics, and safe usage durations.
