Abstract

Lipoma emerges as a benign mesenchymal neoplasm configured of aggregates of mature adipose tissue. In contrast to lipomatosis, the frequently discerned lipoma is associated with nonspecific clinical features. The essentially benign lipoma is exceptionally encountered within salivary glands wherein the lesion is commonly discerned within the parotid gland. Initially scripted by Nagao in 2001, sialolipoma emerges as an infrequently exemplified variant of lipoma comprised of mature adipose tissue aggregates commingled with specific components of salivary glands as acinar, ductal, basal and myoepithelial cells Besides, sialolipoma may articulate intra-glandular or extra-glandular lesions.
