Dr. Andrew Yona Kitua has Graduated in Medicine and Surgery (MD) from L’Universita Degli Studi di Milano, Italy in 1979. He hold a Masters degree in epidemiology from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (1989), London, UK and PhD in Epidemiology from Basel University (1996), Switzerland. Current Director of the Public Health and Environment Enhancement Interventions NGO “NGALAKERI”, Morogoro, Tanzania. Previous Africa Regional Director of USAID/EPT-2 Preparedness and Response Project (2016-2019); Malaria Research leader WHO/TDR (2009-2012), Geneva, Switzerland; Previous Director General of the National Institute for Medical Research (1996-2009), Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
