Dr. Tamiru Minwuye is born on December 26, 19 86 in Motta district, and province of Gojjam, Ethiopia. He is the 5th child in his family. His father Mr. Minwuye Andargie and his mother Mrs, Shitaye Getie are farmers. He grew up with his families (mother, father, sister and brother) in the rural parts of Ethiopia, motta district. Some of his favorite toys in his child hood were cars made of soil/earth and money notes from leaves of a tree. He passed his childhood by keeping cattle and sheep till he is 10 years old, like any other child in the rural part of Ethiopia. He started his elementary school as grade 1 on September 1996 in Keranyo primary school, motta district when he is 10 years old. His teacher’s name was Mengesha Fantahun. In his third class he moved to Tiwa primary school for personal reason and back to Keranyo primary school in his fourth class and completed there up to grade eight. Unfortunately, his father died in 2003 when he is grade seven. His heart broken, became in deep sorrow with tearful occasions for some months. In fact, this made him strong in his life. In 2005, he moved to Motta district and join Motta secondary and preparatory school. he lived in rent house for 4 years and cooking to feed himself. He is excellent in his academic performance with ranks 1 up 3 in all grades (1 up to 12) and got prizes and certificates. He joined Jimma university medical faculty in 2008 to attend his higher education in medical school for the next 6 years. He become friendly and sociable in his stay. He gained his basic knowledge and skill in medicine and really he loves Jimma town. He graduated with doctor of medicine on June 29. His three brothers made the ceremony warm and interesting. It was happiest day in his life. He began work as a general practitioner in Gondar university hospital, employed as academic staff in 2014. With all his courages, He joined residency program in obstetrics and gynecology in university of Gondar medical school, a real place to be taught as a resident and keep his momentum in medical knowledge and skills. It was successfully completed in 2018 and now he is obstetrician and gynecologist, assistant professor in university of Gondar. He is single in marital status but planning to engage in near future. He is highly motivated and interested in teaching medicine and doing research to make treatment of disease better.
