Dr. Muhammad Zahid Farooq is working as lecturer in the Department of Animal Sciences, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Jhang,(Sub Campus University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore) Pakistan since October 2009. He passed DVM from University of Agriculture Faisalabad in 2009. He has received his M.Phil degree in Livestock Management from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore in 2015. In his M.Phil research, he worked on “Effect of feeding frequency on the growth performance of Lohi lambs during post weaning period†under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdullah. The main aim of research was to investigate the effect of increase feeding frequency on the growth performance, feed consumption and digestibility in Lohi lambs. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD degree in Animal Molecular nutrition in Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan China. Dr. Zahid has Eight years working experience as Lecturer in the Department of Animal Sciences, CVAS, Jhang. He has more than 10 popular articles, 09 abstracts published in the proceedings of international conferences and 04 in conferences held at national level and 10 research article in impact factor journals.
Dr. Muhammad Zahid Farooq research interest include Metagenomic, transcriptomic,Proteomic, and metabilomic studies in buffalo rumen and using mouse as model animal, Intensive beef production by using growth promoters, Exploring fattening potential in small ruminants under intensive production system
