Dr. Afrah Abd have received his medical degree from Deakin University, School of Medicine, Waurn ponds campus, Australia. He was Associated professor in AL-Muthana University, Iraq School of Veterinary Medicine. His main research interest is posterior segment disorders of oculi especially angiogenesis issues at retina such as Diabetic retinopathy and Macular Degeneration. He is currently focusing on innovating novel nanoformulations that can cross the physiological and anatomical barriers and delivered them to the site of injury mainly the photoreceptors area. These nanoformulations can applied topically to avoid the issues with intraocular injections.
Dr. Afrah Abd research interests are Ophthalmology, retinal diseases, posterior segment disorders, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration.
