Prof .Dr. Kutikuppala Surya Rao MD.(PGIM), PhD (Andhra University) MNAMS (New Delhi) FHM(CMC Vellore) FRCP(London)FAMS(India)DSc(Hons) has spent most of his medical career in clinical research associated with HIV /AIDS disease. He is Chief Consultant in HIV Medicine at Dr.Kutikuppala SURYA RAO HOSPITALS and RESEARCH CENTER, Visakhapatnam-530 008, Andhrapradesh India. The Government of India awarded PADMASHRI to he is in 2008 the India’s Prestigious civilian award for his outstanding work in the area of treatment and research in Medicine. He is a Gunnies World Record holder in HIV prevention research work for achieving the largest awareness Red Ribbon. In the House of Lords London he received exalted Mahatma Gandhi Samman Puraskar Dr.Rao received a letter of commendation from the World Health Organization H.Q Geneva for his exceptional contribution in reducing the Health care-associated infections (HCAI) in India in this region.

Dr.Surya Rao is a distinguished researcher in the International Medical Circles for the last two decades. He addressed numerous National and International Conferences on the invitation of various International Universities and Institutions and chaired several International conferences on HIV/AIDS. Hepatitis-B, Rabies ,Malaria and Drug abuse. He published 105 research papers in the World renowned medical journals like British Medical Journal (BMJ), Applied Medicine @ UK, Antiseptic, Indian Practitioner, JIMA etc., and 432 articles in popular journals of National and International repute and 8 books. He has been a member, guest editor on several national and international journals of repute.
