Dr. Anitha Vadekeetil is a Research Scientist in Winro Science Research Foundation, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India. She obtained Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Calicut University, Kerala, India and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India. She earned Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Genetic Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India. She is awarded Doctorate Degree in Microbiology at Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. She has presented her work at various National and International Conferences. She has been awarded Young Researcher Award at 3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Natural Products, Hyderabad in 2015, Research Assistant scholarship from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi for a period of 2011-2014 and with UGC fellowship for completing the course of Post M.Sc. Advanced Diploma in Plant Genetic Engineering for a period of one year (2009-2010). She has published a number of research papers in various reputed international journals.

Dr. Anitha Vadekeetil is interested in the fields of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Her present interests are in the area of Biofouling, Biodegradation, and Biomaterials.
