Dr. Francesco Bimbo holds a Ph.D. from Wageningen University (The Netherlands) and he is currently appointed as a post-doc researcher at University of Foggia (Italy). He received a rigorous training in empirical industrial organization and food marketing during his Ph.D. at Wageningen University as well as during his research experiences in the many institutions during his career at Penn State University (USA) and University of Naples Federico II (Italy). His background also includes a mix of food science and business management acquired during the many vocational periods.The research interests in which Dr. Bimbo is currently .Additionally, he has well-documented records of publications on top published journals in the field of the agricultural economics as well as he has well-documented teaching records in Corporate Finance Management and Business and Finance Management at Wageningen University. Further, he is currently involved in several research projects in collaboration with many European Institutions.involved are two: the first research area is about the organization and the economy of the food-supply chains, with a focus on short food-supply chains. The second area of research is on the economics of credence attributes on food products. Such subjects are explored from different angles, using multiple types of data (e.g., market data, survey data and data collected through the use of virtual simulated reality), data are then analyzed through the use of empirical econometrics approaches.
