Dr. Shaik Abdul Hussain is currently working as Scientist at Dairy Technology Division, ICAR-NDRI, Karnal. He has obtained his B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) degree from Osmania University, Kamareddy, Telangana and Master’s & Doctoral degrees (Dairy Technology) from ICAR-NDRI, Karnal. Dr. Hussain is currently involved in teaching of several under graduate and post-graduate courses of Dairy Technology viz. Market milk, Ice Cream & Frozen Desserts, Advances in Dairy Processing, Rheology of Dairy & Food Products and Product Monitoring & Process Control. Dr. Hussain is presently working in the area of “Developing Functional Dairy Foods by applying Nanotechnology Interventions”. The author has got several awards and fellowships to his credit during his academic career, which include Pratibha Scholarship for 10+2 studies form Govt. of A.P., Gold Medal in B.Tech., Junior Research Fellowship (ICAR-JRF) for pursuing M.Tech. and Senior Research Fellowship (ICAR-SRF) for pursuing Ph.D. Dr. Hussain has guided two M.Tech. students and has authored several research papers, review articles and book chapters.
Dr. Shaik Abdul Hussain Research interest includes Functional dairy foods, Herb supplementation in dairy products, Nano/Micro delivery systems for enhancing the functionality in food products, Probiotic fermented milk products.
