Dr. Alessandro Cuomo is a Clinical research Psychiatrist and PhD at University of Siena (Italy). He is a graduate of University of Siena Medical School, where he also finished his adult psychiatry residency program. During the same period he completed fellowship in Consultation/Liaison/Research Methodology in Psychiatry and Psychopharmacology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience King's College London (UK). He worked as Medical Doctor at Carlo Poma Mantova, ASST Region Lombardy Healthcare System (Italy) and has performed extensive research and published numerous articles and book chapters on various aspects of Diagnosis, personalized pharmacological treatment of Mood, Anxiety and Psychotic Disorders including special populations (Pregnancy and Lactation, physical comorbidities, treatment-resistant disorders) as well as studies on the role of vitamin D and microbiome in psychiatric diseases. He is a national speaker on the treatment, side effects and comorbidity issues surrounding psychopharmacology in severe mental disorders.
