Dr. Karthikeyan has completed his PhD at the age of 35 years from Ramakrishna mission Vivekananda University, Coimbatore. The study was entitled as “Effect of slump stretching with static spinal exercise for the management of non- radicular low back pain among non-active sports persons”. Followed by postdoctoral studies completed from Tumkur University, Tumkur, Karnataka, India. The study was entitled as “Evaluation of challenging task of observational gait analysis, strategy of 5 to 11-year-old normal children by functional sports ambulatory measurement”. He is presently working as a clinician cum researcher at Physiotherapy centre at NIMHANS, Bangalore, India which is one among the premier teaching and research health care delivery institute with INI status, fully funded by Govt of India. He has published more than 52 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of reputed journals. He has received various medals and awards for his contribution in this field.
Dr.Karthikeyan research interest includes neuro, ortho, cardio respiratory, pulmonary, paediatric and sports rehabilitation, pain management, gait analysis and assessment of various neurological deficits
