Victus Bobonkey Samlafo joined the University of Education, Winneba in 2004 with a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry as a Lecturer in the then Science Education Department. After two-year probation, Victus was confirmed as a Lecturer in the Science Education Department in 2006. Within a period of five years after probation, Victus had both a PhD in Nuclear and Radiochemistry and was also promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer. He was later promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2018. He taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Victus supervised several PhD, MPhil and MEd theses and reviewed several theses both internally and externally. He is an External Examiner for the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana, and University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana. Currently, Victus is a reviewer for twelve (12) international journals. He had 20 papers in both international and local peer-reviewed journals and contributed to seven books and study materials. He presented papers at several international conferences. His areas of expertise include Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and Radioanalytical Chemistry. Victus is currently working on heavy metal levels in wetland areas of Ghana and methanol levels in locally produced alcoholic beverages.
