Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. V. N. L. Chaitanya is an academic Researcher/ pharmacognosist with teaching as passion and having 11 years of vast experience in teaching, quality control & research on Traditional Medicine, Natural products, Drug discovery, Ethno-pharmacology, Isolation and Characterization. He is a recipient of many scientific awards and also an editorial member in various standard publishing groups. He completed his Ph.D in Pharmacognosy and phytomedicine from the world famous JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (Formerly Known as Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University), Mysuru, India and currently working as a head in Phytomedicine & Phytochemistry division RERDS-CPR, RIPER Campus and also as an Associate Professor in Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (RIPER),(AUTONOMOUS) , Anantapur, A.P, India. A recipient of DBT ALLIANCE AIMF AWARD and Insa visiting scientist award

Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. V. N. L. Chaitanya current interest is discovery of potent anticancer leads and drugs (Human dual Topopoisons & DNA Caspase promoters) from nature like holistic Plants, weeds, Algae, fungus, crystals and Minerals, Dr. Chaitanya is working on the drug discovery and traditional formulation development of anticancer natural drugs, with multitargeting approach, targeting Human DNA Topoisomerases and Caspases along with Indian and African collaborators . As multi targeting approach of anticancer drugs is in high demand and the entire globe is looking for a holistic preventive care, the current research will lay a platform for the basis of a formulation development of anticancer elixir using modernised traditional concepts.
