Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vakhtang Shoshiashvili has graduated from Tbilisi State Medical Institute (TSMI, now -TSMU), faculty of General Medicine, 1979-1985. Specialized in anesthesiology and intensive care from TSMI, department of anesthesia and intensive care, 1985-87. He was a postgraduate medical student at All-Union Cancer Research Center, department of anesthesia and intensive care, Moscow in 1989-1992 and received PhD degree in 1992 on the theme: “Perioperative immune regulation in cancer patientsâ€. From 1987 to 2013 he worked as an anesthesiologist at the Georgian national cancer research center. From 2013 to 2015 he worked as an anesthesiologist at New Vision University clinic and from 2015 to 2016 – at TSMU first university clinic. Since 2013 he is an expert in anesthesia and intensive care at TSMU and Ministry of Health Care and Social Affairs Republic of Georgia. Currently he is also an associate professor at European University, faculty of medicine and since 2016 is working as an anesthesiologist at Research Institute of Clinical Medicine, Department of anesthesiology and intensive care, Tbilisi, Georgia. Since June 2020 works also as an anesthesiologist at TSMU first university clinic. Dr. Vakhtang has authored to over 30 peer-reviewed publications, 1 book and contributed 3 chapters. He serves as Editorial board member for 3 International/National journals and is a participant of many national and international scientific events.
