Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaivik V. Shah obtained his Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry from Department of Chemistry, School of Sciences, Gujarat University, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India in 2012. He had completed his M.Phil. in Analytical Chemistry, entitled “Metal-ion drug investigation study by conductometric titration” in 2014. Also he has been awarded Ph.D. in bioanalytical chemistry, in 2017. He worked on Chromatographic method Development and Validation of some anti-hypertensive drugs in the fixed-dose combination therapy present in human plasma. He did his M.Phil. and Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Pranav S. Shrivastav. Currently he is working as assistant professor in Chemistry at President Science College, Shayona city, Ghatlodiya, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India affiliated to Gujarat University since June 2017. He has authored 27 research publications in peer-reviewed National and International journals. He has authored 4 books.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaivik V. Shah research area is in the following fields: Complexometric studies between drug and essential metal ions for human body, which is helpful for metallodrug therapy and toxicology study. Drug-dye interaction study, for development of simple and cost effective spectrophotometric methods for estimation of drugs in their formulations and their thermodynamic study. Development of bioanalytical methods for determination of drugs in biological samples and their pharmacokinetic analysis. However, his research area of interest in Pharmaceutical drug analysis, Bioanalytical drug chemistry, Metal-Ligand Complexation study and so on relevant to Analytical Chemistry.
