Assoc. Prof Dr. Azamjon B. Soliev received his Master of Science in Materials Science (Separation Chemistry) from Toyohashi University of Technology, Toyohashi, Japan in 2007 under the supervisorship of well-known Prof. Kiyokatsu Jinno. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Kochi University of Technology, Kochi, Japan in 2012. Since then he has been serving as an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in Chemistry at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and a Senior RESEARCHER at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Sports Medicine at the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He has authored more than 32 research publications in peer-reviewed National and International journals. He has contributed 1 book chapter.
Assoc. Prof Dr. Azamjon B. Soliev research interests are cell cytotoxicity analyses on leukemia cell lines (HL60, U937, K562); study of the molecular mechanisms of action of cytotoxicity of prodigiosin and violacein compounds on the signal transduction pathway enzymes such as protein kinases and protein phosphatases. In Analytical Chemistry, he has been working on HPLC, UHPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS and other types of column chromatography, analyzing drugs and raw materials, as well as biologically active natural metabolites of plant and animal origin. Isolation, purification and determination of enzymatic activities of cellulase components from fungi and mushroom. Isolation, purification and characterization of biologically active low molecular compounds from bacteria of marine origin.
