Dr Sumanth NK completed his Masters in Medical Biochemistry from Kasturba Medical College, MAHE University, Manipal in 2003 and PhD in Medical Biochemistry (Precision Medicine) from Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Karnataka. He got trained on protemoic techniques from C-CAMP, Bengaluru. He has published review and research articles. He applied patent for his invention “Quantitative ELISA for SERPINA4/Kallistatin”, Government of India. Presently he is working as Biochemist and Manger - Lab Services at Vijaya Diagnostic Centre, Vizag. He has 12 years of teaching experience in medical and dental colleges and in clinical diagnostics. He is having research experience in medical biochemistry with hands on experience on proteomic techniques.
Dr Sumanth NK research interest are effective usage of advanced -omic techniques in simplified, unbiased, binary comparison of discovery phase of biomarker pipeline, reduction of analytical time for newly developed quantitative ELISA to check antibody stability for effective binding of protein of interest, standardization of protocols to overcome pitfall and limitations in biomarker pipeline, correlative studies in clinical validation of biomarker, define cut off values for newly discovered protein biomarker candidates for differential diagnosis, formulate different combinatorial markers and scores with newly discovered protein biomarker candidates.
