Dr.Israa A. Malli, assistant professor of microbiology, College of Medicine, King Saud Bin Abdul-Aziz University for health sciences (KSAU-hs), Jeddah; Saudi Arabia, a well known distinguished academician. Dr.Malli earned her bachelor degree from Medical Laboratory Sciences at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah; and supported by King Saud bin Abdul-Aziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-hs), in Jeddah, she pursued a Master's in Biotechnology from the Catholic University of America (CUA), Washington, D.C. With additional support from the Saudi Arabian culture Mission (SACM), she joined Howard University in Fall-2012. Continuing her academic excellence, she earned a doctoral degree from the Department of Microbiology by December-2017. Dr.Malli is well associated as Editor and Member of countable online journals. She teaches Microbiology and Immunology to medical students. Moreover, Dr.Malli is coordinating the medical research block and have guided over ten students at the medical school level in Saudi Arabia. Dr.Malli elucidated for the first time the role of Scaffold Protein, RACK1, to regulates HIV-1 mediated Virus Translation.
Dr. Malli Research interests are antiretroviral therapeutics, the role of microbiology in Public Health, Medical Microbiology, Epidemiology of disease, disease outbreak, Multidrug resistance pathogens.
