He obtained my MVSc. and Ph.D in Veterinary Virology from IVRI, Izatnagar and he also received awards such as Young Scientist Award, 2016, best paper presentation 2012 and poster presentation awards 2016 by different organizations. He have guided and Co-guided 4 M.V.Sc. students and published more than 35 research papers in peer-reviewed Journals, book chapters, popular article and e-publications. Regarding research, he developed an indirect ELISA kit, Sandwich ELISA kit, competitive ELISA, LAMP etc. to screen bluetongue virus antigen and antibody and also standardized one step real time RT-PCR for detection of bluetongue virus. He also organized various training programs on, application of modern biotechnological technique in molecular biology research, bluetongue sandwich ELISA for detection of bluetongue virus antigen in cell culture and clinical material. He is maintaining more than 70 isolates of bluetongue virus repository under ICAR-All India Network Program on Bluetongue (AINP-BT). At present, he is working on various projects related to Bluetongue disease diagnosis and control which have been funded by several organizations like ICAR and DBT. He also served as a Peer reviewer of different international journals. He also serving as a member of Institute Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC), life member of Indian virological society (IVS) and Indian Association of Veterinary Microbiologists, Immunologists and Specialists in Infectious Diseases (IAVMI).
The current areas of research are development of modern diagnostic tools for blue tongue disease diagnosis, identification of virus serotype and molecular characterization of bluetongue virus (BTV), for disease control programmme.
