Dr. Avijit Pramanik has done BSc (Ag.) Hons from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, India in 1999 then Joined G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, India for MSc (Microbiology) with ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research) junior research fellowship (JRF). After passing MSc (Microbiology) in 2001 he has worked as JRF at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India with CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial research) NET-JRF fellowship. He did his PhD in microbiology from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, Tuebingen, Germany in 2006. After that he did his first Postdoctoral in University of Pittsburgh for 9 months before coming back to Tubingen, Germany at Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology at the same capacity. There he worked for more than five years then came back to India to join as an Assistant Professor in the DAV University, Jalandhar, India during 2013. He continued working there till February 2016, after which he joined the present role as Assistant Professor in the department of Microbiology in the Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh, India.
