Dr. Abiyot Negash Terefe graduated from Hawassa University in 2008/9. He received his MSc. on Biostatistics in Jimma university in 2014, he did his thesis on “Modeling Time to recovery of adult Diabetic patients: A comparison of Cox-proportional Hazard and Shared gamma frailty Modelsâ€. He did a lot researches on infectious disease “Modeling Time to Recovery of Adult Tuberculosis (Tb) Patients in Mizan-Tepi University Teaching Hospital, South-West Ethiopia, Statistical Analysis of Anemic Status among Pregnant Women in Ethiopia, Modeling Time-to- Recovery of Adult Diabetic Patients Using Cox-Proportional Hazards Model and papers on progress for publication “Determinants of Antenatal Care Visit Utilization of Child-Bearing Mothers in Kaffa, Sheka and Bench-Maji Zones of SNNPR, South-Western, Ethiopiaâ€â€. Now he is affiliated to Jimma University, College of Natural Science Department of Statistics. He is a board member of AS Microbiology.
Dr. Abiyot Negash Terefe scientific interests and publications are mainly focused on the infectious disease and immunology of the gastrointestinal tract. He also serves as advisor and consultancy for the undergraduate students and give training for three times at Mizan-Tepi University on statistical methodology and software.
