Dr Maksimova Elena is candidate of medical sciences, assistant of the department of therapy, gastroenterology, cardiology and general medical practice (family medicine) of faculty of training of medical personnel of higher qualification and additional professional education. In 2009, she defended master’s work on the topic «Motor and evacuation disorders of the gastrointestinal tract in various diseases». In 2013, she defended candidate thesis on the topic «Diagnostics, prevention and drug therapy of toxic hepatitis in patients with diabetes». Maksimova Elena is an author of more than 80 scientific publications including articles in English. She is a winner of International scholarship grant on the 19th European Gastroenterology Week in Stockholm for the best scientific work in the field of hepatology. She is an executive editor of the Crimean therapeutic journal, a member of the editorial board of the journal «Supervisor». She is a member of the Russian society for the study of liver diseases, member of the Association Crimean Gastroenterology Association, member of the Russian Gastroenterology Association, member of the Crimean therapeutic society, member of the European Pancreatology Club, member of International Association of Pancreatology.
Dr. Maksimova Elena’s research interests are hepatology (diagnostics, prevention and treatment of chronic viral hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, toxic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis of different etiology) and diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of upper part of gastrointestinal tract: gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastritis, functional dyspepsia, peptic ulcer
