Dr. Nihar Shah completed his medical training at the Smt.N.H.L.Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, India. Upon completition of his medical degree, he relocated to the United States and completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at Seton hall University School of health and Medical Sciences, NJ. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor, Section of Gastroenterology, in the Department of Medicine at Joan C. Edward School of Medicine, Marshall University where he serves an integral role in training medical students and residents in the fields of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He was awarded Certificate of achievement in endoscopy education by American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2015 and was also elected as a fellow of American College of Physicians.
