Dr. Nahid Ferdausi completed medical graduation from Rajshahi Medical College, in 1990. She obtained her M.S in Ophthalmology from Dhaka Medical College in 2012. She also achieved MPH in Epidemiology, Master in Health Economics and Master in Population Sciences from University of Dhaka. She is currently working as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology in National Institute of Ophthalmology & Hospital. She achieved Dr. M A Matin Gold Medal Award-2015 and Dr. Fazlul Huq Memorial Award-2013 for her research works. She achieved ACOIN Appreciation Award-2015. She is a member of SEARO - WHO’s Regional Expert group on 'Accelerating Actions for Prevention of Blindness' and ‘Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation’. Her several articles have been published in National and International Journals. She presented her papers in many International Conferences. She is actively involved in blindness prevention activities in Bangladesh
