Hemaid I. A. Soliman is Professor in molecular genetics, graduated from Genetics and Genetic engineering department, Zagazig University, Egypt in 1993. He worked for Agriculture Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGERI), Egypt from 1993-2000 and the Genetics and Crop Plant Research Center IPK- gatersleben-Germany from 2001-2003 date. From 2004- 2007 he worked in Molecular plant virology Lab. at Agriculture Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGERI), Egypt, Since 2007, he became the researcher and Head of Tissue Culture and Biotechnology Center of Desert Research Center (DRC), Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Egypt. Now he has published more than 30 international papers, he has received numerous awards; in 2007 for the best Ph.D. nominated by the Egyptian Genetics Association, in 2010 for the use of biotechnological studies and tissue culture in raising the productivity of horticultural crops with special emphasis on fig, banana , tomato, medicinal and aromatic plants, in 2012 for the best study carried out on fig (ficus carica L) for that year nominated by the International Information Technology, in 2013 for the best research study on apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) for African Journal of Biotechnology.
