Dr. Jelena Roganović has finished graduate studies at the School of Dental Medicine, and PhD at the School of Medicine, at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Currently is employed as the Associate professor at the Department of Pharmacology in Dentistry, School of Dental Medicine in Belgrade. Main research focus is on the impact of diabetes on the oral health and includes clinical trials as well as basic-laboratory investigations with the emphasis on clinical implications of basic research for dental practice, resulted in more than twenty articles published in renowned medical and dental journals Dr Jelena Roganović is recognized for being a constructive and responsible reviewer and having a list of peer review appreciations from Springer, Elsevier, Wiley and Spandidos. She is involved in European and national scientific projects and is an active member of international and national research associations such as Continental European Division of International Association for Dental Research (CED IADR), European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) and Serbian Pharmacological Society.
Dr. Jelena Roganović Research interest includes alterations in molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying vascular and secretory effects of salivary glands under pathological conditions and diseases suchas hypoxia and diabetes mellitus clinical pharmacology of dental anaesthesia and analgesia mechanisms of reparatory potential of dental pulp mechanisms of bone regeneration and intraoral wound healing
